Daniel McConnell

Daniel McConnell has been one of Australia's most prominent cross county mountain bikers for the last 15 years. He is a four-time Olympian and the winner of a World Cup XCO in Albstadt, 2013. Dan hails from Bruthen, Victoria and has raced all over the world, following the World Cup circuit for years, representing Australia at many World Championships. Dan is one of the friendliest and most highly respected riders in Australian mountain biking.

Kathryn McInerney

Kath is a constant source of positivity for those around her...It is rare to see her without a smile on her face! She is a strong rider, who competes in a variety of disciplines and loves to ride in the hills around her home in Bright, Victoria. She was 5th in Elite Women in the 2023 XCO Mountain Bike National Championships, and on the skinny tyres, bagged 2nd overall in the 2023 Tour of Bright, She has awesome skills and rides with tenacity and a never-give-up attitude.

Harry Doye

Harry is a hugely talented rider from Arthur's Seat, Victoria. He was the U17 National XCO Champion in 2022 and the U15 National XCO Champion in 2020 and in 2023 as a first year U19 rider, he has ridden to 2nd in the Oceania Championships, won a round of the National Series and made his mark on the international scene with 2nd place at the Chur OKK Bike Revolution in Switzerland. We are excited to see what Harry will do next and look forward to supporting him as he tackles more international competition in 2024!

Connor Wright

Connor hails from Western Australia and is one of the most promising emerging mountain bike riders in the country. He won the U13 and U15 XCO National Championships in all four years from 2019-2022 and continued his winning ways as a first-year U17 in 2023 to win the XCC and XCO National Championship titles, as well as taking 2nd at Enduro Nationals. Connor has incredible bike handling skills and has shown he can mix it with the elite riders, taking 2nd in Mens Open Pairs at the 2023 Cape to Cape, hot on the heels of Trek Shimano veterans Dan McConnell and Cam Ivory. 

Hayley Oakes

Hayley Oakes is an U23 mountain biker from the Northern Rivers, NSW. Hayley likes anything with pedals and two wheels but loves cross-country racing best! In her teen years, Hayley has been the U15, U17 and U19 National Champion in XCC, XCO and XCM. She is passionate about introducing the next generation of MTB athletes to Cross-country racing and enjoys the difference she can make as a coach. She was 2nd in the 2023 U23 XCO National Championships and looks forward to continuing to challenge herself in 2024.

Meaghan Stanton

Meaghan is a mathematics teacher from the Southern Highlands of NSW. She races in the Masters 4 category and has won 15 masters national titles in XCO, XCC and XCM in the last 7 years, as well as a masters World Championship title in XCM in 2023. She loves coaching riders from her school, organising races for her local club, Highlands Trails, being the Trek Shimano team "mum" and learning new skills.

Russ Nankervis

Russell Nankervis is an elite rider hailing from Bendigo, Victoria. He has been riding and racing mountain bikes for 15 years after following his brothers into the sport and is an active member of the Bendigo MTB Club. Big Russ has raced everything from stage races in Malaysia to World Cup events in Europe. He enjoys the diversity of racing and travelling to great places with the team. In 2022, he rode his bike the length of Europe and is currently writing a book about the adventure. He is always down for a laugh and if he's not training on his Trek Supercaliber you can usually find him playing on his Trek Fuel EX.

Tory Thomas

Tory is a legend of the sport of cross country mountain biking, with elite national wins dating back many years, across multiple disciplines, not to mention representing Australia at many World Championships and Commonwealth Games and contesting World Cups back in the day. She doesn't race so often anymore, but when she does, she still has what it takes and has lost none of her competitive spirit! 

Hamish Retchford

Hamish is mad keen on racing bikes. He is the son of Tory Thomas and Tim Retchford, and with his mum being a long-time Trek Shimano team member, Hamish has been hanging around the team since he was a toddler on a balance bike. He got hold of mum's bike and announced himself as a rider to watch in 2022, with an impressive win at nationals in U13 XCC and XCO and he is frothing for more. He loves the hills around his home town of Mount Beauty, Victoria.  

Peter Dowse

Peter Dowse has been riding mountain bikes since the early days, when he went to Whistler a skier and came home a mountain biker. His reputation as someone who will always lend a hand is legendary. Peter’s role as team owner/manager encompasses many things: his expertise as a top professional bike mechanic; his knowledge as a Sports Administration graduate; his ability to source quality products for team riders; his significant experience as a coach; his advice as a skilled technical rider, not to mention perfect bottle hand-ups.
